Ordering
Prefer payment thru Paypal, you can pay with a credit card via paypal even if you are not a member, you will not incur any additional fees. I will absorb the small service charge for using paypal services. Paypal is safe, secure, fast and easy. A link to the Paypal website is provided below. Please Contact Us first to verify real-time availability, confirm your shipping address, agree upon a shipping date, and get a total with shipping.
Then, if you will be paying via paypal, I will simply send an email requesting payment, and you can pay the bill. After payment is received an email with tracking info will be sent, usually within 24 hours of the ship date. This makes the purchase process SUPER EASY.
However, if you are not comfortable with this process please feel free to Contact Us and we can work out your order over the phone if you prefer.
I will also accept money orders or personal checks as payment, however an animal or animals will not be held or considered sold until payment has been received, cleared and money is in my bank account.
Shipping
Shipping will be done via overnight FedEx (we are a certified FedEx harmless reptile shipper) which will be shipped from hub to hub (preferably the hub closest to the nearest airport), or if you need shipped to your residential address we can ship overnight via Ship Your Reptiles using UPS. Costs will be determined at the time of sale and vary depending on how many snakes are ordered and the size of the box required and the shipping method agreed upon by the buyer. I ship snakes with lightly moist Carefresh substrate in deli cups, packed with newspaper in a styrofoam lined box, with heat packs or cold packs used as necessary, all this at NO EXTRA CHARGE to the buyer, you only pay the shipping charge. However I usually just round the shipping charge to the nearest 5 dollars just to make things easier. Typically up to a several pairs can be put into 1 or 2 deli cups and will run about $35-$40. Many pairs can usually be placed in 3-4 deli cups and placed in a 12 inch square box and will run about $45-$60. Free shipping may be offered on larger orders. You will receive an email containing a tracking # and confirming shipment on the buyer agreed shipping date. All shipping will be done on Monday-Wednesday, the exact day will be agreed upon by both parties.
Terms
All animals will be healthy and feeding well and will be sexed to the best of my ability (popped once right after birth and then at least 2 more times during the next two weeks to confirm sex) This method of sexing has proven to be extremely accurate for me. I offer a conditional live arrival guarantee until 1pm the receiving day at which time the sale will be considered final, the daytime highs and lows of the destination stops must be below 90 degrees and above 40 for guarantee to apply and the order must be signed for on first attempt to deliver and must be before noon, and I must be notified within the specified time period, i.e. shipped on Monday I must be notified by 1pm on Tuesday, and the DOA must be kept for possible return at my request. A replacement animal, refund, or credit will only be issued at my discretion. If you are not satisfied with a snake or an order please contact me ASAP and I will do my very best to make things right. If you wish to return a snake or snakes, you the buyer will need to pay for overnight Fedex shipping and a refund will be issued at my discretion upon live arrival plus at least 3 days from the time of shipping the animal back to me. Would prefer to avoid returns all together, in favor of working something out otherwise, due to the fact that I then need to quarantine the returned animals for at least 6 months before offering them back up for sale or returning to my collection (I am very protective of what goes into my snake room as well as what leaves). The reality is that no customer has ever been unsatisfied with my animals or wanted to make a return anyway (knock on wood)
I will not be responsible for loss during shipping due to weather related delays, damages to box or otherwise. However having stated that, it has only been an issue 1 time, in the dozens and dozens of times that I have shipped, and it was due to an extensive weather delay and mishandling. It was discussed between the buyer and I and we both agreed to split the cost of the partial loss of animals (some were alive and some DOA), resulting in me issuing a partial refund, both parties were satisfied, the only way to do business. I am a very fair and honest person to work with and will always do everything to make sure that all my customers are very happy and satisfied with their purchase.

Relax-all this legal talk is to cover all bases. There are only a few garter species that are prohibited in a few states, but do check with your states wildlife laws regarding the species specifically that you are interested in, if you are unsure. Local laws can be highly variable, some cities do prohibit all snakes, but usually concern constrictors not garters, but do check it out with your city and county government if you are unsure.
